Mmm. Maple! It’s not quite as fun as consuming it in it’s myriad yummy forms but reading about how maple syrup is produced or better, seeing it in action, is pretty interesting. I’m sure it smells heavenly! I am craving pancakes right now–with fresh maple syrup!

Camp Can-Aqua has been making maple syrup since 1991 and has evolved from a traditional operation of 30 taps on buckets, boiling in a turkey pan, to more than 3,000 taps on pipeline.

Our present operation is very modern using vacuum on the pipeline, reverse osmosis to concentrate the sap before boiling in a 4’ X 14’ oil fired evaporator. All our equipment is selected to insure we are making the highest quality, pure maple product.

We started selling supplies and equipment in 1992 and continue to carry a large inventory of the most common supplies and equipment the hobbyist or commercial producer might need. Camp Can-Aqua services producers in the Bancroft / Haliburton / Barry’s Bay and surrounding areas on a cash and carry basis only. Please note, there is no mail order available. We cater to the needs of small and large producers providing constructive advice at all stages. We are just a phone call away.

While it functions at different times of the year there is a direct relationship between Camp Can-Aqua maple activities and Camp Can-Aqua Summer Children’s Camp.

Maple Syrup Sales

		Camp Can-Aqua produces the highest quality maple syrup using the most advanced techniques and “Seal of Quality” best management practices. Sales of syrup are available at the Camp or through numerous retail outlets.

	Sugarhouse Sales

		Delicious maple syrup is sold in numerous varieties and sizes of containers ranging from 40 ml to 4 Litre. There are many fancy and gift bottles to choose from. Come visit us, take a tour and browse in our Sugarhouse.
