14-Day Weather Forecast Haliburton Highlands November 17 – 30

14-Day Weather Forecast Haliburton Highlands November 17 – 30

I feel like I could copy & paste the weather forecast every other week as it seems to me to be remarkably similar–a couple of weeks with normal rainfall & a couple more with fairly dry conditions  My spouse the gardener says that this weather pattern gives things ‘a chance to dry out’ but I’m not entirely sure the climatologists would agree. Having the high and low temperatures be almost indistinguishable seems an odd circumstance indeed. This weekend looks quite nice so be sure to peruse the many goings-on in the Haliburton Highlands area and get out and enjoy the season!

Here is the poster section in thumbnail form so you can enlarge them to full size to get all the details!

Based on the 14-day extended weather outlook. I’d say though winter is coming , it is not quite here yet.

I’m glad to see more normal rainfall. The temperatures, both high and low are above average–or average most of the time. The forecast lows are all above the norm. I would hope since the rain is on and off week-to-week that the water tables are getting some action.

Yay, no fall drought!

Neil Young – Heart Of Gold

Such a great performance by Neil Young of “Heart Of Gold’.
This is a clip from when my first favourite Neil Young song ‘Heart of Gold’ when it was ‘brand new.’  Young mentions that he knows how listening to an artist’s new material in concert can be ‘kinda weird.’ But it’s not in this video, it’s awesome!

Also really enjoyable in the most unexpected way, is the new Neil Young autobiography, Waging Heavy Peace. I’m reading a library copy, but will probably buy a copy to keep and re-read.

It’s as good, but quite different than Keith Richards recent tome. I was surprised at the insight Richards’ has into the business, but especially his deep understanding of his craft. Young is similar that way– but the personalities are so different. Both likable, I must say.

I’ve got to be straight with y’all: I am not at all a winter person but I do like to get out and then quickly get IN places and stay for awhile. Fortunately, the Haliburton Highlands offers many, many places to go and things to see, some for charitable cause, some for profit, some for free–and best of all for your enjoyment and/or to benefit your community! Just because the weather is a-changing (as I’ll address in a moment) does not mean you have to stay home getting cabin fever. Bundle up and get going. You won’t want to miss a thing!

14-Day Weather Outlook – Nov 3 through Nov 16

As we move into mid-late Autumn in the Haliburton Highlands area, the weather pattern of above-normal nighttime temperatures continues with only about 2 days of very slightly below normal temps overnight. It looks like there will only be a chance of showers 2 out of the 14 days which is well below normal (and hopefully, won’t continue). Conversely, daytime temperatures look to reach normal only 2 days out of the 14 with the rest below normal, significantly so on some days.
