Head Lake, Haliburton, Ontario, March 1, 2009

It seems there’s been a change in the weather cast for the coming week and what you prefer–more winter-like or hints of spring-to-come–will probably impact your feelings about the change.
It was supposed to have been very, very cold and according to the latest predictions with the exception of Monday, March 2 and it’s sunny high of 6° F–that is no longer so.
Beginning Tuesday, the bright, sunny conditions continue and a warming trend begins. Look for a high of about 14°F. Wednesday is a near repeat of Tuesday–but warmer. 23°F is the projected high temperature for a sunny Wednesday.
Some variable cloudiness drifts in on Thursday along with a 20% chance of precipitation and a high temperature of 30°F.
Friday, March 6, a high of 39°F(!) Expect some light snow, possibly up to 2″ accumulation.
On Saturday, expect isolated flurries and another day of above- freezing temperatures at 33°F for a high.
